Based on the comparison, the Acer Nitro 5 15, while slightly more expensive, offers better graphics with the Nvidia RTX 4050, more RAM for multitasking, and similar storage space to the HP Victus 15, which comes with the Nvidia RTX 3050 and less RAM. If performance in tasks like gaming or 3D work is important to you, the Acer Nitro might justify its higher price. However, the HP Victus 15 is a bit lighter and could be more suitable for everyday use and portability. Both laptops have comparable screens and battery life, so the decision mainly revolves around how much value you place on higher performance versus cost savings and portability. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
