The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is typically less expensive, with ample performance for general use and a good balance of features at a midrange price. With a long battery life, it's quite portable and can handle everyday tasks smoothly, though it's less suited for intensive 3D or machine learning applications due to its integrated graphics. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 16X is somewhat more expensive but offers superior performance for engineering, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks thanks to its more powerful processor and dedicated Nvidia graphics card, making it a better choice for heavy-duty computing despite its shorter battery life and slightly increased weight. The ASUS Vivobook 16X has a better screen than the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 offers adequate resolution and brightness, suitable for day-to-day tasks, but its limited color range and standard refresh rate may not satisfy the precision needed for engineering nor the fluidity desired in gaming. The ASUS Vivobook 16X, with its superior color accuracy and higher brightness, enhances the experience for creating detailed design work, but still falls short for gaming due to its standard refresh rate despite the decent resolution. Both laptops, not being optimized for gaming, lack the high refresh rates required for smooth gameplay, but serve their purpose for general and engineering use with the Vivobook 16X pulling ahead for design-related tasks due to better color fidelity.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the ASUS Vivobook 16X compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
