If you prioritize performance and need a laptop capable of handling more demanding tasks such as 3D modeling, machine learning, or engineering software, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) with its Apple M1 chip excels. However, its higher price and MacOS may not be ideal for everyone, especially if you're accustomed to or require Windows-specific applications. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire Vero 15, with its Intel i7 processor and Iris Xe graphics, offers good performance at a lower price point and higher storage capacity, making it suitable for general use and moderate workloads. Keep in mind that the MacBook is lighter and offers a higher screen resolution and superior battery life, making it more portable and better for on-the-go use, while the Aspire Vero 15 is heavier but comes with the flexibility of Windows 11 Home. The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15, equipped with a powerful Intel processor and Iris Xe graphics, along with ample RAM, caters well to engineering and design tasks; however, its lower screen resolution and color accuracy might be less suitable for extremely detail-oriented work compared to the Apple MacBook Pro 13's retina display, which also benefits from the efficiency of the Apple M1 chip and offers better battery life and portability, making it a strong contender for on-the-go professionals despite having less RAM and storage capacity.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for general use, AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 offers a screen suitable for daily tasks with acceptable resolution and brightness, yet for engineering and design, the limited color gamut fails to deliver precise color representation and for gaming and 3D, the lower refresh rate makes for less fluid motion. The MacBook Pro 13 from 2020, with its high-resolution, bright display, excels in clarity and viewing comfort for general and design use, with an excellent color range for professional color work, but its standard refresh rate isn't ideal for the high-speed demands of 3D applications. Both laptops lack in gaming and 3D due to the refresh rate but differ significantly in their color accuracy and brightness, impacting their effectiveness for engineering and design tasks.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) and Acer Aspire Vero 15 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15, with an Intel Iris Xe GPU, is better equipped for gaming because its Windows operating system supports a wider range of games compared to the Apple MacBook Pro 13's M1 GPU which, despite offering fair 3D performance, is limited by the number of popular games that are compatible with macOS. Both have similar screen refresh rates, but the Acer's dedicated Intel GPU generally performs better for gaming than the integrated solution in the MacBook, which is constrained not only by hardware but also by software compatibility.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020) compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
