When selecting between the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the Dell G15 5520, consider that the Acer Aspire is usually much less expensive which might make it an appealing choice for general use and cost-conscious buyers. However, the Dell G15 offers a more powerful processor and graphics card, making it suitable for more intensive applications like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, at the expense of being heavier and thus less portable compared to the lighter Acer Aspire. The Dell also has a faster screen refresh rate which is particularly beneficial for gaming. In contrast, opt for the Acer if you prefer a compromise between performance and cost with decent capability for everyday tasks and better portability. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 5 15 has modest resolution and brightness which make it adequate for tasks like browsing and video streaming, but its limited color range and slower refresh rates may not satisfy engineers and designers who need precise color representation or gamers who seek fluid motion. The Dell G15 5520's improved screen quality offers good resolution and brightness and a wider color gamut for accurate color work necessary in engineering and design, yet for gaming, while colors and resolution are up to par, the refresh rate falls short of providing the smoothest experience. Therefore, the Acer is serviceable for everyday tasks, the Dell is better suited for professional creative work, but neither is ideal for high-end gaming where fast-moving visuals are crucial.

How the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
