The Acer Aspire 3 14, being less expensive, is a value-oriented option that comes with solid performance for general use, thanks to its AMD Ryzen processor and basic AMD graphics; it's also lighter and more portable, with a slightly smaller screen, which can be advantageous if you travel frequently or commute with your laptop. On the other hand, the HP Victus 15, while generally more expensive, offers notably better performance for more demanding applications and games, as it is equipped with an Intel processor and a much more powerful Nvidia RTX graphics card, but it's heavier and may have a shorter battery life due to its high-performance components. If you're into gaming or need to run intensive 3D or engineering software, the HP Victus 15 would be the better choice, whereas for everyday tasks, web browsing, and lighter productivity, the Acer Aspire might be sufficient while saving you some money. How the Acer Aspire 3 14 and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
