The LG QNED90 is slightly less expensive and performs very well for gaming due to its low input lag and fast response time. It also has a wider viewing angle, making it good for watching with a group. However, it's not as good in dark rooms and its contrast isn't as high, which can affect the depth of black levels in dark scenes. On the other hand, the Sony X90J costs a bit more but offers better picture quality for movies and series, with higher contrast and better performance in dark rooms. Its excellent motion processing makes fast-action sports content look smooth. While its sound quality is slightly better than the LG's, it doesn't get as bright in very well-lit rooms. If your focus is gaming or you often watch TV with a group spread around the room, the LG QNED90 could be the better choice.
