When choosing between the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 and the LG Gram 17, consider that the ThinkPad often emphasizes durability and has a keyboard that's well-suited for long typing sessions, while the LG Gram is known for its light weight and large screen, which is great for multitasking and media consumption but may be less convenient to carry around. The LG Gram typically offers longer battery life due to its larger chassis allowing for a bigger battery, benefiting users on the go who may not have regular access to power outlets. On the other hand, the ThinkPad's build is usually more rugged, making it a better choice if you need a laptop that can withstand rough handling. If your priority is performance for tasks like engineering software, the ThinkPad is often more customizable with more powerful hardware options. However, for general use and watching videos, the larger display of the LG Gram could enhance your experience. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 and LG Gram 17 both offer screens with sufficient resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and color accuracy that benefits engineering and design work, ensuring that visuals are crisp and colors appear true to life. However, neither is optimized for gaming or 3D applications, as they lack the high refresh rates that make animation and fast-paced action appear smooth and responsive. Their resolutions and panel types, while adequate for general use and professional applications, don't meet the demands of high-end gaming scenarios where these features become more critical for an immersive experience.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 and LG Gram 17 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14, while robust for business applications, may not deliver the smoothest gaming and 3D experience due to an average GPU and screen refresh rate. On the other hand, the LG Gram 17's larger high-quality screen and decent processor are a plus, but its gaming and 3D performance is also limited by a similarly average GPU and refresh rate.

How the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"We like a lot about this laptop. It has many ports, with the inclusion of RJ45-Ethernet as a defining feature. WWAN is upgradable for maximum flexibility and the ThinkPad has many security functions. Working with the ThinkPad input devices is a lot of fun, and Lenovo puts in a serviceable Low Power panel. The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U delivers a great performance and does not drain the battery fast. Fan noise and temperatures are nothing special, but also far away from bad. With the user replaceable keyboard, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 has a special feature rarely present on most modern laptops."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
