The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is less expensive and offers a larger, higher resolution display which may be better for productivity and media consumption. It also boasts a more capacious battery, potentially delivering longer use between charges, and has a newer GPU, possibly providing better performance in certain tasks like gaming or creative work. However, it's slightly heavier than the MSI Pulse GL66, which could be a drawback if you prioritize portability. The MSI laptop offers a high-performance CPU and a well-regarded GPU, which can handle demanding tasks, but it has a shorter battery life, potentially requiring more frequent charging. Both laptops offer a similar amount of storage and RAM, making them capable performers for general use. If gaming or visually intensive tasks are your focus, the Lenovo might suit you more, while the MSI could appeal if you need strong CPU performance and prioritize a lighter device. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize a sharp and vibrant display for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 offers a high-resolution panel with good brightness and color. For engineering and design work where color precision matters, the same Lenovo laptop provides wide color coverage to ensure accurate design renderings. However, for gaming or 3D applications, where smooth motion is key, the MSI Pulse GL66, despite its lower resolution and color range, may be more suitable due to a higher refresh rate for more fluid visuals.

How the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
