The HP Victus 15 is more suitable for general use and offers better value for those on a tighter budget, being significantly less expensive, yet it still provides good performance with gaming capabilities thanks to its dedicated graphics card. It's ideal for casual gaming, everyday tasks, and moderate workloads. On the other hand, the MSI GP66 Leopard, while more expensive, boasts a more powerful processor and top-tier graphics card, making it better for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software that demand more robust performance. However, the Leopard is heavier, which can affect portability, and it could also have a shorter battery life due to its more power-hungry components. Consider the Victus if price and moderate performance are key, and the Leopard if performance is the priority and budget is less of a concern. Give Feedback

The MSI GP66 Leopard has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a sharp, clear display for daily tasks, the HP Victus 15's resolution and brightness will serve you well despite its limitations in other aspects. Should your work involve engineering or design, the MSI GP66 Leopard's color accuracy and wider color gamuts make it more suitable for those professional tasks. However, for gaming or 3D work, neither laptop is ideal due to their lower refresh rates, which can hinder the fluidity that these applications typically require.

How the HP Victus 15 and the MSI GP66 Leopard compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
