Choosing between the HP Victus 15 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 depends on your priorities. The HP Victus 15 is less expensive, offers solid performance with an Intel processor combined with a capable Nvidia graphics card, suitable for general use and some gaming. However, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7, while pricier, has a more powerful AMD processor, better Nvidia graphics, more memory, and a larger battery, making it superior for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning and higher-end gaming at the cost of being less portable due to its lower battery life. If portability and keeping costs down is key, the HP is a great choice, but for higher performance in demanding applications, the Lenovo is the better option despite the higher price. Give Feedback

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."

NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | November 2022
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
