The HP Spectre x360, generally less expensive, offers good general performance and a touchscreen, making it suitable for everyday use and productivity tasks. It's also quite portable. The MSI Stealth GS66, being more expensive, is tailored for gaming and intensive tasks like 3D rendering or engineering software with its high-end graphics card. The GS66 also has a high refresh rate screen, which is better for fast-paced gaming, but it's a bit heavier, which could affect portability. If budget is less of a concern and you need a laptop for demanding applications or gaming, the MSI Stealth GS66 stands out; for everyday use with good performance and better portability, the HP Spectre x360 could be more appropriate. The HP Spectre x360 has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI Stealth GS66 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, the HP Spectre x360 boasts a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and video watching, while the MSI Stealth GS66 offers similar qualities but might not be as bright. How the HP Spectre x360 and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
