Choose the HP Omen 15 if you prioritize performance for activities like gaming or creative work, as it generally offers a more powerful processor and graphics card. However, it's also heavier, which affects portability. The HP Victus 15 may be more suitable for lighter tasks and general use, and it's easier to carry around. Remember, the Omen's higher specifications typically come at a higher price, so consider whether the performance boost is worth the extra cost to you. If battery life is a key concern, bear in mind that higher performance laptops usually consume more power. Give Feedback

The HP Omen 15 is good for engineering and design, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The HP Omen 15, with its more powerful AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, higher RAM, and superior RTX 3070 GPU, offers better performance for engineering and design tasks which often require significant processing power, memory, and graphics capabilities. The HP Victus 15, while still suitable for engineering and design due to its Intel i5 CPU and RTX 3050 GPU, may not deliver the same level of smooth experience as the Omen 15, particularly in more demanding applications and complex designs.

The HP Omen 15 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, both the HP Omen 15 and HP Victus 15 offer screens with satisfactory resolution, panel type, and brightness, ensuring a pleasant user experience with clear, vivid visuals for everyday tasks. In engineering and design, the HP Omen's superior color gamut coverage provides richer and more accurate colors necessary for professional work, outshining the HP Victus. However, for gaming and 3D applications, where high refresh rates are crucial, both laptops fall short, offering subpar performance due to their lower refresh rate, meaning neither laptop is ideal for fast-paced, graphics-intensive environments.

"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
