When choosing between the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, consider their strengths. The HP EliteBook offers a larger screen and is built for performance in general usage and engineering tasks with good heat management and fan noise control. It also includes a higher price tag but comes with a great keyboard and webcam. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkBook is lighter, making it more portable, with a touchscreen and better battery life for general use. It provides a higher resolution display but less impressive performance in demanding 3D, machine learning, and engineering scenarios. Both are suitable for business use and not designed for intensive gaming. Choose the HP for better performance in specialized tasks or the Lenovo for everyday portability and touchscreen convenience. The HP EliteBook 845 G9 and Lenovo ThinkBook 13s both have displays with resolutions and brightness levels that are adequate for general tasks, providing clear and vibrant visuals for everyday activities like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption. For engineering and design, both laptops offer good color accuracy and a range of colors that can represent design work well, but they may lack the full spectrum required by some professional design standards. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of these laptops may result in less fluid motion and slower response times compared to displays designed specifically for high-end gaming, which can detract from the immersive experience and performance in fast-paced games.

How the HP EliteBook 845 G9 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
