The HP Dragonfly Pro 14" offers better performance suitable for engineering tasks with its higher-end AMD Ryzen processor and integrated graphics, ideal if performance takes precedence over cost. With a larger battery and higher resolution screen, it is also advantageous for those prioritizing display quality and battery life, although at a higher price.
In contrast, the lower-cost HP Victus 15, equipped with an Intel i5 processor and discrete Nvidia graphics, is targeted towards gaming and entry-level 3D tasks. Its larger screen and higher refresh rate enhance gaming and video experiences, but you'll trade off some portability and battery life due to a bulkier build and lower screen resolution. If you're on a budget and need a laptop more for entertainment or casual use, this could be the more cost-effective choice. Give Feedback

The HP Dragonfly Pro 14" has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the HP Victus 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The HP Dragonfly Pro's screen offers a combination of resolution and brightness that enhances the experience for general tasks and ensures that detailed design work benefits from its accurate color representation, but its lower refresh rate could hinder the smooth visuals demanded by 3D applications and fast-paced gaming. Conversely, the HP Victus 15's screen, while suitable for everyday tasks with its acceptable clarity and brightness, doesn't quite offer the extensive color coverage critical for precision in engineering and design, and similarly falls short for gaming and 3D due to an inadequate refresh rate. These different screen attributes highlight that while both laptops can capably handle general use, those who prioritize engineering and design work might lean towards the HP Dragonfly Pro, and users with a focus on gaming may need to consider alternative options with higher refresh rates.

How the HP Dragonfly Pro 14" and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
"I’d say that the HP Dragonfly Pro checks off most of the boxes for this freelancer. It feels nice to use, is zippy and responsive, has great speakers, and even has a relatively sane price. Although it’s an unorthodox choice to pick AMD for this kind of machine, it’s clear that when Ryzen is given a chance to shine, it can kick a lot of butt."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
