The Gigabyte G5 is a budget-friendly option with decent performance, making it suitable for general use and some engineering tasks, and it's lighter for better portability, whereas the Lenovo LOQ 15, while more expensive, offers better processing power with more RAM and a slightly better battery, making it a strong candidate for more demanding 3D, machine learning, or intensive gaming. Both come with full HD screens and similar size and resolution, but the Lenovo offers notably better color accuracy and brightness, which can be important for creative work. Consider the Gigabyte G5 if cost and portability are priorities, or the Lenovo LOQ 15 if you're seeking higher performance and better screen quality for advanced applications and can handle a heavier machine with a larger budget. The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the Gigabyte G5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte G5's screen may not appear as vibrant or sharp for general use and detailed engineering work due to its fair resolution and brightness, which are crucial for clarity and comfort in various lighting conditions. Lenovo's LOQ 15, with good screen quality, offers better visuals for both casual and professional tasks, as it displays crisper images and more accurate colors, important for precision in engineering and design. However, the lower refresh rates on both laptops can lead to less smooth visuals, making them less suitable for high-frame-rate gaming or fluid 3D model rendering, where smoother motion is a key aspect of the experience.

How the Gigabyte G5 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
