The Gigabyte Aorus 5, while more expensive, offers higher performance with its advanced Intel i7 processor and dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics card, making it well-suited for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning. The Aorus 5 is less portable given its weight and shorter battery life, whereas the IdeaPad is lighter with better battery life, favoring those on the go. Give Feedback

Can Buy or Not

Vincent Chang | June 2022
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."

Alex Iliev | December 2022
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
