The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers stronger performance, especially for 3D, machine learning, and gaming, due to its more powerful graphics card. It has a larger screen, which is advantageous for multitasking and immersive gaming, albeit making it less portable. Conversely, the Gigabyte Aorus 5 is more portable due to its smaller size and weight, but also less expensive; this makes it more suitable for general use and everyday mobility. Both have similar battery capacities and build qualities, but expect shorter battery life with the Aorus 17H due to its higher-spec components. Choose the 17H for performance-heavy tasks or the Aorus 5 for a balance between performance and portability. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H likely has a display with higher resolution and brightness, making it suitable for general use, and the larger screen size might also offer more accurate colors which are crucial for engineering and design. However, for gaming and 3D tasks, the Aorus 17H probably has a lower refresh rate, which can affect the smoothness of fast-paced visuals. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 5, while also suitable for general use and design with a good mix of resolution and color accuracy, may similarly suffer during gaming due to a lower refresh rate, not fully leveraging gaming graphics performance.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Gigabyte Aorus 5 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
