If you prioritize performance for intensive tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming and are willing to spend more, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H would be superior with its higher-end components and larger display. On the other hand, the HP Victus 15 is more budget-friendly and still adequate for general use and light gaming. It's also lighter and more compact, which enhances portability. However, with its less powerful hardware, it may not handle demanding tasks as well. Both have similar screen quality and resolution, but the Aorus has a significantly better battery capacity for longer use on a single charge. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and HP Victus 15 are both good for general use, though the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a more powerful CPU and double the RAM compared to the HP Victus 15, delivering better performance for various tasks and multitasking; its larger screen and higher screen quality also enhance user experience for general use, but with a lower portability due to its weight and size. On the other hand, while the HP Victus 15 has a less powerful CPU and less RAM, making it less suited for intensive tasks, it compensates with better portability and sufficient performance for everyday activities at a potentially lower price point.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers a high-resolution display with excellent brightness and panel technology, ensuring crisp and vibrant visuals for documents and media, which are essential for general use. For engineering and design, while it has a solid resolution and panel type that offers good detail and viewability, it doesn't quite excel in color accuracy for professional color work. However, for gaming and 3D where smooth motion is crucial, its lower refresh rate means it won't be as fluid or responsive as gaming-specific models with faster screens.

"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
