If you prioritize performance for tasks like intensive engineering, 3D rendering, or high-end gaming, you'll find the Gigabyte Aorus 17, despite its higher price, provides a more powerful processor and better graphics capabilities. However, it is heavier and less portable than the HP Victus 15. On the other hand, the HP Victus 15 is considerably more affordable and offers decent performance for general use and moderate gaming, also benefiting from a more portable form factor. Consider the trade-off between price and performance against your specific needs, keeping in mind battery life and portability that align with your lifestyle. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17 and HP Victus 15 are both good for general use, though the Gigabyte Aorus 17 is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17 offers robust performance with a more powerful CPU, larger RAM, and a superior GPU, which, along with a higher quality screen, makes it well-suited for demanding tasks, but it is less portable and has a shorter battery life than the HP Victus 15. The HP Victus 15, while less powerful, provides adequate performance for everyday use, benefits from greater portability due to its lighter weight and smaller size, and longer battery life, making it a better choice for users needing mobility with decent performance.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17 is very good for gaming and AI, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17 offers a superior gaming and 3D experience with its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate of 360, compared to the HP Victus 15's Nvidia RTX 3050 and refresh rate of 144. Additionally, the Aorus 17's screen quality is enhanced by a higher color coverage, which, along with its strong performance potential from an Intel i7 CPU, makes it stand out for very intensive tasks, while the Victus 15, with a more modest Intel i5 CPU and lower color accuracy, is better for less demanding scenarios.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17 is very good for engineering and design, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17 outshines the HP Victus 15 in engineering and design use primarily due to its superior main processor, higher RAM, and more powerful GPU, which are crucial for demanding software applications, although it sacrifices portability because of its larger size and weight. The Aorus 17's higher screen quality, reflected by greater brightness and color space coverage, further enhances its suitability for design work, whereas the Victus 15, while still capable, offers a balance with slightly more portability and lower operating noise, but with less impressive specs in the very important factors.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17 offers a vibrant display with high resolution and brightness suited for various tasks, along with wide color gamuts, making it reliable for engineering and design work where color accuracy is critical. However, its lower refresh rate is a disadvantage for gaming or 3D applications where smooth motion is essential. The HP Victus 15 provides a decent screen for everyday activities with acceptable resolution and brightness but falls short for professionals in color-critical fields due to narrower color coverage, and likewise, isn't optimal for gaming or 3D work due to lower refresh rates.

"The Gigabyte Aorus 17 is a powerful high-end gaming machine. The Aorus 17 is a potent gaming notebook in a 17.3-inch format designed for FHD gaming at maximum settings. A Core i7-12700H processor and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU make this possible. A lightning-fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the necessary storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Aorus 17 XE4, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded, high-performance gaming notebook."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
