Consider your needs carefully when choosing between the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Lenovo Legion 5. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is typically more expensive, aiming at heavy-duty gaming or resource-intensive tasks due to its high-performance hardware. This could be beneficial if you need a laptop that handles demanding software, such as 3D rendering or machine learning applications. On the downside, it usually has shorter battery life and may be heavier, affecting portability. If you require a laptop for everyday use or less demanding gaming, the Lenovo Legion 5 could be more suitable. It offers decent performance for general tasks and gaming while costing less, and it may also have a longer battery life, which is an advantage if you're frequently on the move. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X excels in gaming and 3D applications due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and higher screen refresh rate compared to the Lenovo Legion 5 15", which still performs well with a Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a respectable refresh rate. While both have quality IPS displays and substantial processing power, the Aorus 15X's superior graphics capabilities give it an edge in very demanding visual tasks, albeit possibly at a higher price point.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation.
When choosing a laptop for general use, both the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and Lenovo Legion 5 have screens with adequate resolution and brightness, ensuring a clear and vivid display for everyday tasks. For engineering and design professionals, the colors might not be displayed accurately due to the limitations in color gamut coverage, essential for precision in visual work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, these laptops may not be the best fit as a high refresh rate is critical for smooth motion, and both models lack in this regard, possibly leading to less immersive gameplay and less fluid 3D rendering.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X and Lenovo Legion 5 15" are both good for general use.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X excels in general use due to its high-end CPU and GPU, larger storage, and a thicker build which contributes to better heat management but at the expense of heavier weight and slightly less portability compared to the Lenovo Legion 5 15". While both have similar quality displays and RAM, the Lenovo Legion 5 offers a lower-tier CPU and GPU, less storage, which makes it lighter and more portable, but with shorter battery life and potentially lower performance in demanding tasks.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X and Lenovo Legion 5 15" are both very good for engineering and design.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X boasts superior performance for engineering and design due to its high-end Intel i9 CPU and Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, providing robust processing and graphical capabilities, alongside a quality screen with high refresh rates; however, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life which might affect portability. Conversely, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" also caters well to engineering demands with a capable AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, and offers a slightly higher quality screen in terms of brightness and color accuracy, it trades off some graphical power and battery capacity for marginally better portability and speaker quality.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
