The Gigabyte Aero 5 offers superior screen quality with OLED and higher resolution, better for tasks that need detailed visuals like photo editing, but this impacts battery life making it shorter than that of the Lenovo Legion Slim 5. The Legion Slim 5 has a more energy-efficient processor and a higher refresh rate screen, which is great for fast-paced gaming, plus it's a bit lighter making it slightly more portable. Both have similar amounts of RAM and high-quality keyboards, but if price is a concern, the Legion Slim 5 is generally less expensive. For intensive gaming, both laptops are capable, but the Aero 5's higher-end graphics card provides an edge for demanding graphics work. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 5 and Lenovo Legion Slim 5 are both very good for engineering and design, though the Gigabyte Aero 5 is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 is praised for engineering and design due to its robust Intel i7 CPU, ample RAM, powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, and superior OLED screen quality, which are critical for intensive tasks and detailed visuals. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 offers commendable performance with its AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, and while its IPS display delivers good visual clarity, it may not match the Aero's in color accuracy and contrast, making the Aero more favorable for precise engineering and design work despite possibly being less portable and having a louder operation noise.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 boasts a high-resolution, bright display with a panel type that offers vivid colors, making it excellent for both general functionality and detail-oriented tasks in engineering and design due to its wide color coverage. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 maintains quality with good resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and sufficient color accuracy for most design work, but it may not cover the color gamut as extensively as the Gigabyte Aero 5. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications, as their screens do not prioritize high refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and responsiveness in fast-paced visual environments.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
