If you need a laptop primarily for general use with good portability and longer battery life, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 is a better choice as it's lighter and has a battery that lasts longer. However, the Gigabyte Aero 16 has a stronger performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering, with a high-resolution OLED screen that offers superior color accuracy and contrast, but it's less portable due to its larger size and weight. Note that the Gigabyte Aero 16 comes at a higher price and has a shorter battery life compared to the Surface Laptop Go 3. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 16 is very good for general use, while the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 outperforms the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 in general use largely because it has a more powerful CPU, more RAM, and a higher quality screen, which can handle demanding tasks better and provide a more vibrant and sharp visual experience, but it's heavier and has less battery life, making it less portable. Conversely, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3, while having a less powerful CPU and lower RAM, which makes it less suitable for intensive operations, offers a more compact form with a longer battery life, thus being more portable and better for users who prioritize mobility and moderate use.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 is good for gaming and AI, while the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers a superior gaming and 3D experience due to its high-performing Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and OLED display, compared to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 which has an integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU and a standard IPS screen. Despite both laptops having comparable screen refresh rates, the Aero 16's GPU and screen quality give it the edge for very demanding visual tasks.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When evaluating the screen quality for general use, factors such as the panel type, resolution, and brightness are crucial; the Gigabyte Aero 16 excels in these areas, offering vibrant and sharp visuals. For engineering and design, the extensive color gamuts of the Aero 16, like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, make it superior for color-sensitive work. However, gamers and 3D artists rely heavily on refresh rate to ensure fluid motion, and on this front, the Aero 16 falls short compared to other laptops built specifically for these purposes.

"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"When it comes to affordably priced laptops, the numbers after the dollar sign are crucially important—more so than in any other price category. By increasing the starting price of its Laptop Go line by $200 and not changing much else, Microsoft irrevocably altered the calculus surrounding the decision of whether to buy the Surface Laptop Go 3. Sure, it has a newer processor and longer battery life, but don’t think for a second you’re not paying dearly for that extra RAM and SSD capacity at that new price."
