For everyday tasks, the Gateway 14.1" with its budget-friendly price offers decent performance and a full HD display, though it falls short in portability due to its weight and battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i, with its higher price, delivers a significant performance boost, especially for demanding tasks like gaming and engineering, thanks to its powerful processor and dedicated graphics card. It also features a high-resolution touchscreen with excellent color accuracy and a fast refresh rate, making it suitable for creative work and fast-paced gaming. The Yoga Pro 9i's slim design, longer battery life, and premium features like a backlit keyboard and facial recognition enhance usability and security. If you value portability, performance, and a superior display, and are willing to invest in these features, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is the better choice. However, if your needs are limited to basic tasks and you prefer a more economical option, the Gateway 14.1" would suffice. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | September 2021
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
