The Dell Inspiron 16 5625 is a better choice if you need a laptop with more power for tasks like video editing or heavier software because it has more RAM and a stronger processor. It also offers a larger screen with higher resolution, adding to your viewing and multitasking experience; however, it is typically more expensive. In contrast, the Gateway 14.1" is a more budget-friendly option suited for basic tasks with less demanding specifications and a smaller screen size that might offer better portability. Neither are suitable for intensive gaming, but for general use and some engineering applications, the Dell fares better. Keep in mind that the Gateway comes with Windows 10S, which limits app installation to the Microsoft Store unless upgraded to regular Windows. If you're looking for longevity in use without frequent charging, consider that the Dell has a longer battery life. Additionally, the Dell features a backlit keyboard and touchscreen, which the Gateway lacks. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 16 5625 has a better screen than the Gateway 14.1" for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Dell Inspiron and Gateway laptops have displays that are adequate for tasks like browsing and document editing, owing to their resolution and brightness levels which suffice for general activities. However, professionals in engineering and design might find the color reproduction limited as these screens may not cover a wider color gamut, impacting the precision needed for color-sensitive work. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the modest refresh rates of these screens will not provide the smooth visuals desired by avid gamers or those working with fast-moving graphics.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 and the Gateway 14.1" compare to other laptops
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
