The Dell Inspiron 16 5620 is generally less expensive and offers better battery life, more RAM for smoother multitasking, and has a touch larger screen with a higher resolution that can be more suitable for productivity due to its 16:10 aspect ratio, making it useful for tasks like document editing and web browsing. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is slightly more portable due to its lesser weight, provides a touchscreen for ease of use, and has a slightly better portability score, making it convenient for carrying around. If your work involves more complex tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning, the IdeaPad's AMD Ryzen processor with Vega graphics offers marginally better performance in these areas compared to the Dell's processor and integrated graphics. If you need a laptop with a numpad and backlit keyboard, the IdeaPad offers these features, while the Dell does not have a numpad and its backlit keyboard is only available in white. The IdeaPad also has a fingerprint reader, adding a layer of security which the Dell lacks. Both laptops are not designed for intensive gaming despite supporting light gaming. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 16 5620 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" have similar screen quality.
For general use, both the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offer decent screen quality with satisfactory resolution and brightness, but they may not have the superior panel type that enhances viewing experience. In engineering and design, while these laptops provide fair screen quality, professionals seeking precise color work could find the color gamut coverage lacking, as high fidelity color representation is critical. Lastly, for gaming and 3D work where smooth visuals are key, the refresh rate on both laptops is lower than preferred, and although they have fair resolution and panel types, they fall short for a premium gaming or 3D animation experience.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"If the world is exciting enough right now, you can do far worse than a solid performer that you know will get the job done. Our review model is as powerful as you'd want an office machine to be unless you're performing specialist tasks and the price point is pretty attractive (unless work will let you have a MacBook Air instead)."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
