For general use, the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is more budget-friendly and lighter for easier portability, but it provides less storage space and lower performance due to its basic Intel i3 processor. On the other hand, the Lenovo Flex 5 16 costs more but offers better performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or engineering with its advanced Intel i7 processor, more RAM, and higher-resolution touchscreen. It also has a longer battery life, which is ideal for extensive work sessions without access to power, but it is heavier, making it less convenient to carry around. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 15 3520's screen, while adequate for tasks like browsing and document editing, lacks the resolution and brightness that the Lenovo Flex 5 16 offers, making the latter a better choice for sharpness and visibility in various lighting conditions. For engineering and design, the Lenovo's ability to display a wider range of colors is crucial for precision in visual work, whereas the Dell's more limited color range may not accurately represent designs. When it comes to gaming and 3D tasks, neither laptop excels due to their poor refresh rates, but the higher resolution and panel quality of the Lenovo provide a slightly better visual experience despite this limitation.

How the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 and the Lenovo Flex 5 16 compare to other laptops
"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a solidly equipped, 2-in-1 in the lower price segment. Performance is definitely sufficient for everyday tasks and in tests the battery proved itself to be very economical. That aside, there is a lot of standard fare on show and a search for real highlights ends in vain. The low color coverage and reflective display can be avoided by going for an optional 2.5K display but this also presumably results in poorer battery life. The cooling uses only one fan and leads to a raised temperature on one side of the device under load. Additionally, there is very loud fan noise, also under load or when gaming. On top of that, we also occasionally noticed electronic noises."
