The Dell Inspiron 15 3520, being budget-friendly, is suitable if you need a laptop for general use and want to save money, with moderate battery life and a standard Full HD screen. However, for more demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Eluktronics RP-15, while more expensive, offers significantly better performance due to its advanced processor and graphics card, higher resolution display, and larger battery capacity—it also features hardware ray tracing for enhanced gaming visuals and a higher refresh rate screen for smoother motion. The RP-15 is heavier, though, impacting its portability compared to the lighter Inspiron. Give Feedback

The Eluktronics RP-15 is good for general use, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is only fair.
The Eluktronics RP-15 outshines the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 for general use primarily due to its superior main processor, ample RAM, high-quality screen with greater resolution and color accuracy, and more efficient heat management, despite being less portable and having slightly less battery life. Furthermore, the RP-15's larger storage capacity and better-performing graphics chip bolster its potency for a range of tasks, although it’s noisier and a bit heavier than the Dell Inspiron.

The Eluktronics RP-15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is only fair.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3520's integrated graphics are less capable than the Eluktronics RP-15's dedicated Nvidia GPU for handling gaming and 3D tasks, and while both have IPS screens, the RP-15 offers a higher screen refresh rate, contributing to a smoother visual experience in gaming. The Dell's lower-end CPU also falls short compared to the RP-15's more powerful processor, making the RP-15 more suited for demanding games and applications that require intensive processing power.

The Eluktronics RP-15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is only fair.
The Eluktronics RP-15 is favored for engineering and design tasks due to its more powerful Ryzen 7 processor, double the RAM, and a superior GPU offering enhanced graphics performance compared to the Dell Inspiron 15 3520's i3 processor, less RAM, and integrated graphics. Additionally, the RP-15 boasts a higher resolution and brighter display which is crucial for design accuracy, despite being slightly less portable and having somewhat louder operating noise.

The Eluktronics RP-15 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, a laptop like the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 with fair screen quality probably offers a display that is sufficient in resolution and brightness for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming, but may not stand out in terms of sharpness or color vibrancy. On the other hand, the Eluktronics RP-15's screen, with its very good quality, likely boasts higher resolution and brightness, providing a more crisp and vibrant viewing experience for both general use and detailed work in engineering and design, where color accuracy covering wider color gamuts is crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to their poor refresh rates, meaning less smooth visuals and potentially less enjoyable gaming experiences, despite their resolution and panel type being reasonably adequate.

"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work."
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
