If you value stronger graphics performance for 3D, machine learning tasks, or gaming at a higher price, the Lenovo LOQ 15 with its Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU stands out, despite less storage and a heavier build, making it less portable. However, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 offers better value at a lower price with a higher storage capacity, a more compact and lighter design for greater portability, and sufficient performance for general use and moderate engineering tasks, but with less powerful integrated graphics, it’s not as suited for intensive gaming or specialized tasks. The Lenovo LOQ 15 and Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 are both good for engineering and design, though the Lenovo LOQ 15 is somewhat better.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 surpasses the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 in engineering and design use primarily due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU which is crucial for rendering and computational tasks, whereas the Dell's integrated Vega 8 GPU is less capable in these intensive operations. Both laptops have the same amount of RAM and similar CPU capabilities, but the Lenovo's superior screen brightness and higher contrast ratio make for a clearer and more vibrant visual experience important for design work, albeit with a tradeoff in portability and potential for higher operating noise.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Inspiron 14 may have a screen that suffices for browsing or office work due to acceptable resolution and brightness, but it falls short for engineering and design tasks because it lacks wide color gamuts for accurate color reproduction. The Lenovo LOQ 15 steps up with better color accuracy, which benefits engineering and design software users who require precise color representations. However, both models have limited appeal for gaming or 3D applications, as they lack the high refresh rates necessary for smooth motion rendering, although their resolution and panel types might be adequate for less demanding visual tasks.

How the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
