The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is a more expensive option with a larger screen, more storage, and better overall performance suited for engineering tasks, 3D rendering, and other intensive applications. It also has a sizeable battery but is heavier, making it less portable than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15". The IdeaPad offers a touchscreen, decent performance for general use, better battery life, and is lighter, thus more portable. If price is a concern and general use is your main application, the Lenovo is a better choice, but for higher-end tasks and a bit more portability compromise, the ASUS stands out. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is well-suited for gaming and 3D applications because it features a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, which is superior to the integrated AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Vega 8 graphics in the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15". Both have the same screen refresh rate, but the stronger GPU in the ASUS ensures better performance for these tasks, despite the screen quality and CPU being important as well.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 stands out for engineering and design use with a high-performance CPU, plenty of fast RAM, and a capable discrete GPU for demanding tasks, along with a high-quality screen that covers a broad spectrum of colors, making it suitable for precision work. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a lower-tier CPU and integrated GPU, less RAM, and while its screen is decent, it doesn't offer the same color coverage or brightness, which can be limitations for detailed engineering and design projects.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 features impressive resolution and brightness, making it excellent for general activities and detailed engineering work where clarity matters. Its color accuracy and range cover the spectrum well, suiting professional design tasks that demand precise color representation. However, its lower refresh rate could detract from the smooth visuals sought in gaming and 3D applications, where faster on-screen action is common.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
