If you prioritize high performance for tasks like 3D rendering or engineering software, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17, with its powerful processor and graphics card, is well-equipped for these demands. However, you'll pay more and have a less portable device due to its larger screen size and heavier weight. On the flip side, the HP Victus 15 is more budget-friendly, offering decent power for everyday use and casual gaming with a processor and graphics card that are good, but not as high-end as the ASUS. Its smaller size and lighter weight make the HP more portable, yet it may not handle intensive tasks as smoothly. Consider how the balance between cost, power, portability, and intended usage align with your needs. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good for general use, while the HP Victus 15 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 excels in general use due to its superior CPU and RAM, higher screen quality, longer battery life, and better portability compared to the HP Victus 15, which still provides adequate performance with a decent processor, but less memory and shorter battery life. While both laptops have adequate storage, keyboard and speaker quality, operating noise, and heat management, the Zenbook's higher-tier components and longer battery life make it very good for general use compared to the good rating of the Victus.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the HP Victus 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offers a high-resolution display and impressive brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks and detail-oriented work in engineering and design due to its color accuracy. However, its lower refresh rate might not suit the demands of gaming and 3D applications, where smoother motion is crucial. The HP Victus 15, while providing an adequate display for daily activities, may fall short for engineering and design professionals who need wider color gamuts and could disappoint gamers looking for high-refresh-rate experiences.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
