The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED offers a higher resolution and better color coverage with an OLED display, making it excellent for visual tasks, but the Lenovo Flex 5 16 has a larger screen and longer battery life, which is useful for extended use without charging. The Zenbook has a faster refresh rate, which may benefit fast-paced applications, though the Lenovo's processor has more cores for multitasking. Both have similar storage and high-definition touchscreens, but the Lenovo comes with more RAM for handling numerous applications simultaneously. The Zenbook is lighter for travel, whereas the Flex has a longer-lasting battery. Both support USB-C charging, although different port offerings may influence your choice based on external devices you plan to connect. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED and Lenovo Flex 5 16 are both good for engineering and design, though the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is well-suited for engineering and design due to its high-resolution OLED screen with superior color accuracy and contrast, making it great for detailed visual work, though it has less RAM than the Lenovo. Conversely, the Lenovo Flex 5 16 offers more RAM, which is beneficial for multitasking and intensive engineering applications, and its IPS screen, while not as color-accurate as the OLED, provides more screen real estate with its 16-inch display.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Asus Zenbook 14X OLED offers vivid colors and sharp details due to its high-resolution OLED display, which makes it excellent for general use and design work where color accuracy is key. However, its lower refresh rate may not be ideal for gaming where fluid motion is crucial. The Lenovo Flex 5 16, with a good resolution and adequate brightness, provides a satisfactory experience for everyday tasks and engineering software, but like the Zenbook, it falls short for gaming due to its standard refresh rate.

FAN NOISE SCORE

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED and Lenovo Flex 5 16 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is fair for gaming and 3D tasks because its Intel i5-13500H Iris Xe graphics provide decent performance, and its high-refresh OLED screen enhances visual smoothness and image quality, although the GPU isn't ideal for the most demanding games. Conversely, the Lenovo Flex 5 16 also offers fair performance in similar tasks with its Intel i7-1255U Iris Xe graphics, but its standard refresh rate screen may not be as smooth in fast-paced games, despite having a capable processor and good screen quality for less intensive 3D applications.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED and the Lenovo Flex 5 16 compare to other laptops
"While one of the more budget-friendly configurations of the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED may make a compelling case as a top value pick, it’s difficult to be disappointed with the more expensive model we reviewed here. At its core, for all models, it’s a luxury-built laptop with extreme portability and a gorgeous OLED display. Our unit rocks with a snappy Core i9 processor for getting real work done, and the discrete GPU—even if it has a clear power ceiling—is a bonus for creative pros."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a solidly equipped, 2-in-1 in the lower price segment. Performance is definitely sufficient for everyday tasks and in tests the battery proved itself to be very economical. That aside, there is a lot of standard fare on show and a search for real highlights ends in vain. The low color coverage and reflective display can be avoided by going for an optional 2.5K display but this also presumably results in poorer battery life. The cooling uses only one fan and leads to a raised temperature on one side of the device under load. Additionally, there is very loud fan noise, also under load or when gaming. On top of that, we also occasionally noticed electronic noises."
