The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a more portable design and a lower price compared to the MSI Raider GE77Hx, which may appeal to those who prioritize mobility and budget-friendliness. The Zenbook also has an OLED display which generally delivers better color accuracy and contrast, making it suitable for tasks where visual quality is essential. On the other hand, the MSI Raider is equipped with a more powerful graphics card and a higher capacity battery, which supports heavier workloads like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming. It also has a larger screen and is built to handle the heat and noise that often accompany high performance, though it's heavier and may be less convenient to transport. If the primary use is general computing or business tasks, the ASUS might suit your needs well; however, for intensive gaming or engineering work, the MSI Raider is the more capable machine despite its higher cost and lower portability. How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the MSI Raider GE77Hx compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
