If performance in engineering tasks and better gaming capabilities are important to you, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro offers a stronger GPU that suits these needs but is heavier and less portable. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook 14X with its OLED screen provides better color accuracy and contrast, which is ideal for general use and media consumption, and it is more portable due to its lighter weight, but the GPU is less powerful compared to the IdeaPad. Both have similar battery life, but the Lenovo's larger screen could be more convenient for productivity or multimedia experiences. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro for general use, and engineering and design.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X likely has a higher resolution and superior panel technology with better brightness, making it suitable for general use and detailed tasks like engineering and design due to great color accuracy. The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro probably has respectable quality in these areas but doesn't quite match the ASUS, hence being considered "good" for both general use and professional tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications where refresh rate is paramount, both laptops may fall short, as their panels are not optimized for the high refresh rates preferred in these scenarios.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro turns out a successful all-rounder that, aside from 3D applications, always strikes a good or very good figure. This begins with the elegant metal case that isn't particularly light but fairly robust, giving a high-quality impression. The input devices are also better than those of many competitors. Both the keyboard and the touchpad are attractive and comfortable. In addition, the performance of the Ryzen 5 6600HS is easily able to keep up with the Intel competitors."
