If you prioritize a higher quality screen and your tasks involve design or visual finesse, the ASUS Zenbook 14X with its OLED display delivers exceptional color accuracy and contrast. It also offers a better overall performance for demanding tasks, like those required in engineering or 3D rendering, thanks to its dedicated Nvidia graphics. However, it is more expensive than the HP Envy x360 15", which might be a consideration if the budget is tight. The HP Envy x360, while less powerful, boasts a touchscreen and is generally more affordable, making it a better choice for casual use or if you prefer a 2-in-1 design with pen support for note-taking or creative work. It also has a longer battery life for extended use without charging. Keep in mind, the HP is heavier which could be a downside if portability is crucial. Both options run Windows 11 Home, but the ASUS might have the edge if you need more storage and RAM. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X and HP Envy x360 15" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the ASUS Zenbook 14X is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a higher screen refresh rate, which is very important for gaming smoothness, and a dedicated Nvidia MX550 graphics card, which is favorable for gaming and 3D tasks, though it falls in the lower-tier for these applications.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X is good for engineering and design, while the HP Envy x360 15" is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X outperforms the HP Envy x360 15" in engineering and design tasks mainly due to its superior CPU, double the RAM, and a more powerful discrete GPU, along with a high-quality OLED display which offers excellent color coverage and resolution, enhancing visual precision. While the HP Envy offers a larger screen and is a convertible 2-in-1 device, its integrated graphics and lower resolution screen, along with less RAM, make it less ideal for intensive tasks and precise design work.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the HP Envy x360 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a high-resolution display with impressive brightness, making text and images crisp and vibrant for everyday tasks and professional design work, but its refresh rate may not be high enough to satisfy gamers or those doing fast-paced 3D work. On the other hand, the HP Envy x360 15" delivers adequate visual quality for both general and engineering tasks with its fair resolution and brightness, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming and 3D because of a lower refresh rate. Both laptops probably lack the wider color gamuts needed for the most color-critical engineering and design tasks, which might be a downside for professionals in those fields.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the HP Envy x360 15" compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"Despite its good looks, stellar webcam and comfortable keyboard, the Envy x360 15 is hard to recommend because of its dim, 16:9 display. If the display isn't an issue for you, just be sure to wait for a good sale price. Otherwise, a more modern two-in-one with a 16:10 display such as the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 or Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 provides a larger workspace without adding much to the size and weight of the system."
