If superior performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming is important to you and you're okay with a heavier and less portable machine, the Gigabyte Aorus 17, with its advanced graphics and larger screen, is a better choice despite being more expensive. However, if portability, higher screen resolution, and OLED display technology matter more to you for general use and you're looking to save money, the ASUS Zenbook 14X is more suitable and offers good performance for less resource-intensive tasks. Keep in mind though, the ASUS has a shorter battery life compared to the Gigabyte. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sebastian Jentsch | April 2022
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."

Sascha Mölck | April 2022
"The Gigabyte Aorus 17 is a powerful high-end gaming machine. The Aorus 17 is a potent gaming notebook in a 17.3-inch format designed for FHD gaming at maximum settings. A Core i7-12700H processor and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU make this possible. A lightning-fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the necessary storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Aorus 17 XE4, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded, high-performance gaming notebook."
