The ASUS Zenbook 14X is less expensive, lighter, and more portable with a higher portability score, making it good for general use and frequent travel. It offers an OLED touch screen with a higher resolution and vibrant colors, suitable for design and entertainment. However, if you need top performance for intensive gaming, 3D modeling, or engineering tasks, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P, while more costly and heavier, has a more powerful processor, higher-end graphics card, more RAM and storage, better suited for demanding tasks but sacrificing some portability and battery life. The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook 14X is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P offers superior gaming and 3D performance due to its Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, which is significantly more powerful than the Nvidia MX550 GPU in the ASUS Zenbook 14X, and its screen has a higher refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth gameplay. While the Zenbook 14X's OLED screen provides excellent quality and color accuracy, its lower-tier GPU and refresh rate make it less suited for demanding gaming and 3D tasks compared to the Aorus 15P.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 15P for general use, and engineering and design, while the Gigabyte Aorus 15P has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a high-resolution display with excellent brightness and color reproduction, making texts sharp and colors vivid for general use and detailed work in engineering and design. However, its screen lacks the high refresh rate required for smooth visuals in fast-paced gaming and 3D tasks. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P, while offering good overall screen quality, doesn't provide the same level of color accuracy for professional design tasks, nor does it meet the high refresh rate needs for optimal gaming and 3D experiences.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Gigabyte Aorus 15P compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
