If you prioritize a higher quality display with vibrant colors for media consumption or design work, the ASUS Zenbook 14X with its OLED screen would be a solid choice, though it may have a shorter battery life. On the other hand, if you're interested in more graphics-intensive tasks like gaming or 3D rendering, the Gigabyte A5's superior GPU will offer better performance, despite it having a lower resolution IPS display. The ASUS is lighter and more compact, offering greater portability, while the Gigabyte is bulkier but also has additional features like an Ethernet port and a colorful backlit keyboard. Both laptops are similarly priced and have comparable storage and memory. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering general use, the ASUS Zenbook 14X's display offers a higher resolution and brightness, resulting in sharper text and more vivid images, while the Gigabyte A5 provides a satisfactory viewing experience at a more cost-effective price point. For engineering and design tasks which demand color accuracy, the Zenbook's coverage of professional color spaces ensures that hues appear as intended, a crucial factor for precision work, and although the A5 covers these spaces decently, the Zenbook stands out in this regard. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS falls short due to its lower refresh rate, limiting how smooth motion appears on screen, and even if Gigabyte A5 also has a lower refresh rate, it typically offers better value for those seeking adequate performance without prioritizing the highest-end gaming features.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
