If you prioritize a higher quality display for tasks like photo editing, the ASUS Zenbook 14X features an OLED screen with superior color accuracy and contrast. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 has a longer battery life, which can be more valuable if you need to work on the go without frequent charging. Both have similar processing power, but the Zenbook includes a discrete Nvidia graphics card, making it more suitable for light gaming or graphics-intensive tasks. The Inspiron 14 5425, though slightly heavier, could be more cost-effective with its integrated graphics if gaming and intense graphics work aren't your main concerns. Both laptops have ample storage and memory for general use, engineering, and creative applications. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X's screen stands out in general use and engineering tasks due to its high resolution and brightness, providing crisp and vibrant visuals, while also covering a wide range of colors essential for precision in design work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, its lower refresh rate doesn't deliver the smooth motion that these activities benefit from. Conversely, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 offers adequate screen performance for everyday tasks and engineering, with fair resolution and color representation, but, like the ASUS, falls short for gaming and 3D due to a less optimal refresh rate.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X excels in screen quality with its OLED display and higher resolution, delivering vibrant colors and sharper images, which, along with its solid CPU and RAM, makes it a strong choice for everyday tasks; however, its battery life is shorter and it's pricier, affecting its overall value proposition for general use. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425, while having an IPS screen with lower color coverage, compensates with a longer battery life and better heat management at a more affordable price, making it a balanced option for users who prioritize endurance and budget-friendliness.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."
