For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on general use and battery life, the ASUS Zenbook 13 is a strong contender. It offers a solid AMD Ryzen processor and an efficient Vega 8 GPU, which are suitable for everyday tasks and some light gaming or engineering work. The OLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate provides vibrant colors and deep blacks, though it lacks touch capability. Its compact size and lightweight design make it highly portable, ideal for users on the move. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more versatile device with a larger screen and touch functionality, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 might be the way to go. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and Adreno 750 GPU are designed for seamless multitasking and can handle more demanding tasks, including gaming and machine learning, better than the ASUS. The higher resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate offers smoother visuals, which is great for fast-paced content. The 2-in-1 design adds flexibility, allowing you to use it as a tablet. However, it's slightly heavier and larger, which could impact its portability. Consider the ASUS for its excellent balance of performance and portability, especially if you prioritize a compact form factor and longer battery life for everyday tasks. Opt for the Samsung if you need a larger, touch-enabled display with higher performance capabilities and the versatility of a 2-in-1 device, accepting that it's less portable than the ASUS. NotebookCheck

Sebastian Bade | May 2021
"The Asus ZenBook 13 is a compact 13-inch laptop with a fast Ryzen 7 5800U and OLED display. The subnotebook is also light and the modern design is convincing. The selection of high-quality materials make the device not only light, but also very stable. In addition, the visuals and haptics of the device offers a high-quality impression. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800U is a very good fit for the ZenBook 13, ensuring a high performance in the test. However, in terms of the 3D performance, we also notice that the Vega architecture is beginning to hit its limits."
