The ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED offers a vibrant OLED display with higher resolution and better color accuracy, making it ideal for creative work and entertainment. It also provides superior performance for general use and demanding tasks like engineering, thanks to its more powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and dedicated Intel Arc GPU. The laptop is sleek and portable, with a fast 120Hz refresh rate screen that's great for smoother visuals. However, it comes at a higher price point.
On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a more budget-friendly option with a touchscreen IPS display, which is less impressive than OLED but still suitable for everyday tasks. Its AMD Ryzen 3 7330U processor is adequate for general use but falls short for intensive tasks compared to the ASUS. The IdeaPad is slightly heavier and lacks the high-speed ports and advanced features of the ASUS, such as Thunderbolt connectivity and a backlit keyboard.
In summary, if you prioritize display quality, performance, and portability, and are willing to invest more, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED is the better choice. If you're looking for a more affordable laptop for basic tasks and don't mind a less vibrant screen and fewer features, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 would be sufficient. Give Feedback

"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
