When deciding between the ASUS Vivobook 16X and the Gateway 15.6" laptop, consider your primary needs. If you require a larger screen and better performance for tasks such as 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming, the ASUS might be preferable. However, this could come with a higher price point and less portability due to size and weight. On the other hand, if you prioritize portability and are using the laptop for general use like browsing and office tasks, the Gateway is likely more suitable and might offer better battery life. Keep in mind, high-performance laptops often have shorter battery life and are heavier, so if you need the laptop for on-the-go use, the Gateway could be the better option. Give Feedback

Tech Critter

Kok Kee | February 2023
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."

PCMag

Francisco Lahoz | July 2022
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
