If you prioritize high performance and better screen quality for tasks like engineering or content creation and value features like a touchscreen and a premium build, the HP Spectre x360 is a superior choice, albeit at a higher cost. However, it's heavier and may not be as portable as the ASUS Vivobook 15, which is more budget-friendly, lighter, and offers decent performance for general use and some light engineering tasks but with lower storage capacity and a less impressive screen. Battery life is also a consideration; the HP offers longer usage between charges. Keep in mind that the HP's advantages come at the cost of portability and price. Give Feedback

The HP Spectre x360 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 with an Intel UHD Graphics GPU isn't as capable in 3D environments or for gaming compared to the HP Spectre x360, which has a superior Intel Iris Xe GPU, translating to smoother gameplay and more detailed graphics. Both laptops have an equal screen refresh rate of 60Hz, which is adequate for many games, but the Spectre's higher-resolution touchscreen and better CPU, the Intel i7 compared to the Vivobook's Intel i3, also contribute to its better performance in gaming and 3D tasks.

The HP Spectre x360 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is only fair.
The HP Spectre x360 is better suited for engineering and design due to its more powerful i7 processor, double the RAM, and a superior graphics unit compared to the ASUS Vivobook 15's i3 processor, half as much RAM, and less capable graphics. Moreover, the Spectre's higher-resolution screen with better color coverage will offer a more detailed and accurate visual experience, although it's slightly heavier and has a more premium build which may impact portability.

The HP Spectre x360 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 15, with its fair screen attributes, provides adequate clarity and brightness for daily tasks but may not offer the wide color gamut needed for precision in engineering and design work; similarly, its lower refresh rate limits its suitability for the smooth visuals required in Gaming and 3D applications. The HP Spectre x360's very good screen surpasses this with higher resolution and brightness, enhancing the general viewing experience and offering richer color reproduction critical for engineering and design software. However, its poor refresh rate hinders it in Gaming and 3D contexts, where faster screen updates are essential for immersive and responsive play.

"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
