The ASUS Vivobook 15 is more budget-friendly and typically costs significantly less than the HP EliteBook 845 G9. However, the HP EliteBook offers more storage, higher RAM, and a superior AMD Ryzen 5 processor. Also, the EliteBook has better battery life, slightly smaller screen size but better screen resolution, aspect ratio, and it's lighter. It also includes more USB-C ports and has a higher-quality keyboard, webcam, and build quality. If battery life and performance for engineering and more demanding tasks are priorities, and you don't mind the higher cost, the HP EliteBook is the better choice. Conversely, if cost savings are key and you're looking for a device for general use, the ASUS Vivobook could suffice. Give Feedback

How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
