The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is generally more expensive and offers better performance for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning with its more powerful GPU and CPU. It's also equipped with a larger screen and a higher refresh rate suitable for fast motion, which is great for gaming but has a shorter battery life and is less portable due to its weight. Conversely, the MSI Prestige 14 is less expensive, more portable with a higher portability score and longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and engineering tasks. Its color accuracy is also better, which is useful for tasks that require precise color reproduction like photo editing, but it is less capable for gaming or intensive tasks because it has an integrated GPU. Both have the same amount of RAM and backlit keyboards, but the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has additional features like hardware ray tracing and DLSS support which are relevant for gaming and graphics rendering. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Prestige 14 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is better suited for engineering and design use due to its more powerful i7 processor and RTX GPU, which offer higher performance for compute-intensive tasks compared to the MSI Prestige 14's i5 processor and integrated graphics. While the MSI Prestige 14 is lighter and more portable, its screen is smaller and less bright than the ASUS, and although it has better color accuracy, for engineering tasks that benefit from higher GPU and CPU power, the ASUS stands out as the better choice.

For general use, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and MSI Prestige 14 offer crisp visuals and bright displays, making them suitable for daily tasks, video streaming, and web browsing. In engineering and design, the MSI Prestige 14 is superior thanks to its wider color gamuts, providing more accurate colors for tasks like photo editing and graphic design, valuable in precision work. How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the MSI Prestige 14 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
