Choose the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 if you want a laptop with a better graphics card, which is key for high-performance gaming or graphic-intensive tasks. However, it has a smaller screen size compared to the MSI Katana 17, which means less screen real estate for multitasking or immersive experiences but could be more portable. On the other hand, the MSI Katana 17 offers double the memory, beneficial for multitasking and complex applications, and it has a larger screen which enhances media consumption and productivity work, but it's heavier and might not be as convenient to carry around. Both laptops have their own strengths, so your choice should be based on whether you prioritize portability and gaming power or screen size and memory capacity. Give Feedback

If you primarily use your laptop for browsing, watching videos, and office tasks, either the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 or MSI Katana 17 offers a display that is sharp, bright, and with a panel type that renders clear images, making them suitable for daily activities. For tasks requiring precision in color, such as engineering and design work, these laptops provide decent coverage of color gamuts but may not meet the highest standards for color-sensitive work. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is key, these laptops may fall short due to lower refresh rates, which means they won't be as fluid or responsive for fast-paced visuals compared to laptops designed specifically for these purposes.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the MSI Katana 17 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The MSI Katana 17 B13V laptop impressed us in its main area of competency - gaming. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 ensures high-performance levels which can compete with the previous generation's RTX 3070 Ti. In addition to the speedy GPU, the MSI comes with a 144 Hz display as well as an RGB keyboard and provides a very good typing experience. Despite the power at hand, the laptop remains comparatively cool."
