The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is a higher-end option with a robust build, suitable for gaming and intensive tasks due to its powerful processor and advanced graphics card. Its larger screen and higher refresh rate will enhance gaming and video experiences, but it is less portable because of its size and weight. On the other hand, the LG Ultra 13 is more affordable and lightweight, making it highly portable, with a long battery life, but less powerful in terms of performance. It's more suited for general use or work on-the-go. Consider the ASUS if you need a laptop for performance-heavy tasks and gaming, and the LG if portability and price are your priorities. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the LG Ultra 13 is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is superior for gaming and 3D tasks primarily because it has a dedicated Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, which offers smoother visuals and better graphics performance compared to the integrated AMD Vega 7 graphics and 60Hz screen refresh rate of the LG Ultra 13. Additionally, the ASUS's gaming-centric CPU and screen quality are more suited to demanding tasks, whereas the LG's lighter weight and smaller screen are geared more towards general use and portability.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the LG Ultra 13 is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 boasts a stronger CPU and GPU, crucial for demanding engineering and design software, plus a quality screen ideal for visual tasks, while tradeoffs include its lower portability and louder operating noise. Conversely, the LG Ultra 13, while extremely portable and quieter, falls short in performance due to a less powerful CPU and GPU, and a lower quality screen, making it less suitable for intensive engineering and design tasks.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen than the LG Ultra 13 for gaming and AI, and content creation, while the LG Ultra 13 has a better screen for engineering and design.
For general use, both the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the LG Ultra 13 have displays that offer pleasing resolution and adequate brightness, making text and images clear and comfortable to view. Engineering and design professionals would appreciate the LG Ultra 13's display more because it likely reproduces a wider range of colors, crucial for accuracy in visual projects. However, gamers and those into 3D applications may find the ASUS screen lacking because a high refresh rate, essential for smooth motion and gameplay, isn't a strong point of the display compared to specialized gaming laptops.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and the LG Ultra 13 compare to other laptops
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
"The 13.3-inch LG Gram is a fine fit if you need to travel as light as possible for as long as possible without spending a fortune to do it. It might not be particularly sturdy or have an eye-catching design and its webcam is less than ideal, but with its sharp touch display, comfortable backlit keyboard, responsive touchpad and a fingerprint reader for extra security, the Gram makes a respectible everyday laptop for business or school work."
