It is important to consider your main use for the laptop when deciding between the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and the ASUS Vivobook 17. The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is engineered for high-performance tasks like gaming, 3D modeling, and intensive engineering software; expect superior graphics and processing power, but at a higher cost and with potentially less battery life. The ASUS Vivobook 17, on the other hand, offers a larger screen ideal for general use and productivity at a more affordable price; however, it may not handle demanding applications as well. Also, the TUF Gaming A16's built for durability but is likely heavier, so consider portability if you plan to travel with the laptop. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 boasts a display with high resolution and brightness, along with a decent panel type, offering robust visual clarity and vividness that benefits both general users and engineering/design applications. However, despite these pros, its lower refresh rate hinders the smoothness and responsiveness desired for gaming and 3D tasks. As for the ASUS Vivobook 17, while it provides an adequate resolution and panel type for daily tasks and casual design work, its screen's limited color range and lower brightness make it less suitable for professional engineering, design, and gaming where precise color reproduction and visual performance are key.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and the ASUS Vivobook 17 compare to other laptops
"The A16 makes an excellent case against more expensive laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and the MSI Katana GF76, especially if you’re into 1080p gaming. However, although its affordable, it doesn’t skimp on performance or a robust chassis. But for me, the biggest factor that sets it apart from these options is its incredible battery life. In my time reviewing laptops, I can’t remember when I last saw a gaming laptop lasted 11 and a half hours on a single charge, which makes the A16, in my book, truly outstanding."
"The ASUS Vivobook 17 is an affordable 17-inch laptop with passive cooling. On one hand, you get a really quiet and cool work device with a good system performance, many connections, good maintenance options, speakers acceptable for multimedia enjoyment, and a sharp and clear matte FHD IPS display with the Asus VivoBook 17 (F712JA). On the other hand, the USB-C port lacks Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the display, a higher brightness and better color space coverage."
