The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 offers higher performance with its more powerful processor and graphics card, suitable for intensive gaming, 3D, and machine learning tasks. It also has a larger battery, which should offer better battery life but makes it heavier and less portable compared to the HP Victus 15. The HP Victus 15, being less expensive, may suffice for general use and less demanding games, with adequate performance from its newer Intel processor and a decent graphics card. It has a smaller battery and is slightly heavier, hence compromising on portability and potentially battery life. Keep in mind that the ASUS has more storage and better build quality, enhancing its longevity. Consider which aspects are most crucial for you; if superior performance and build are your priority and you can handle less portability, the ASUS might justify its higher cost. If you prefer to spend less for good enough everyday performance and some gaming, the HP could be an economical choice. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | June 2023
"With the release of the TUF Gaming A15, Asos have concentrated on the essentials: gaming performance. Our base version, which can be had for around $1,169, already provided enough power to play current games smoothly in a native resolution of 1080p and with maximum details - thanks to its new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop. If you utilize upscaling, then you can even manage to run ray tracing."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
