The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 has a better screen than the MSI Raider GE77Hx for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and MSI Raider GE77Hx both offer high-resolution, bright displays with panels that provide excellent color accuracy and detail, making them suitable for general use and engineering tasks where clarity and color representation are crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications where fast-paced visuals are common, these laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates, which can lead to less smooth motion and potentially more eye strain during extended use. Therefore, while both are strong contenders for productivity and creative work, they may not provide the most optimal experience for users primarily interested in gaming or 3D modeling.

How the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and the MSI Raider GE77Hx compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is not yet as optimised as its predecessor. Compared to the previous gen, performance and efficiency have improved significantly. What's more, the wonderful, Mini-LED Nebula display is a contender for the main highlight and almost manages to put the CPU and GPU in the shade. We already found its predecessor to be a well-rounded and well-optimised gaming machine. Generally, but not unequivocally, that also applies to the new Asus M16. Similar to most of the current, new laptops, we are dealing with a double generational leap in terms of the CPU and GPU. However, this change doesn't always run smoothly."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
