The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo LOQ 16 is good.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 excels in gaming and 3D tasks primarily due to its Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and high screen refresh rate of 240Hz, which provide superior graphics performance and smoother visuals. In contrast, the Lenovo LOQ 16, with an Nvidia RTX 4050 and a 144Hz refresh rate, offers good performance but is less capable in rendering demanding graphics with the same level of fluidity as the Zephyrus M16.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16's higher resolution and brightness alongside a panel type that delivers sharp images and vibrant colors contribute to its very good screen quality for both general use and engineering tasks, which rely on color accuracy for tasks such as photo editing or CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D, its lower refresh rate compared to specialized gaming laptops can make fast-paced visuals less smooth, which is why it's considered to have poor screen quality in that context. The Lenovo LOQ 16, while having adequate resolution and brightness for general use and sufficient color accuracy for engineering and design, shares a similar drawback with its poor refresh rate for gaming and 3D applications.

How the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and the Lenovo LOQ 16 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is not yet as optimised as its predecessor. Compared to the previous gen, performance and efficiency have improved significantly. What's more, the wonderful, Mini-LED Nebula display is a contender for the main highlight and almost manages to put the CPU and GPU in the shade. We already found its predecessor to be a well-rounded and well-optimised gaming machine. Generally, but not unequivocally, that also applies to the new Asus M16. Similar to most of the current, new laptops, we are dealing with a double generational leap in terms of the CPU and GPU. However, this change doesn't always run smoothly."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
